CCXVII.— An Act *for the relief of the children and heirs at law of John Chilton, deceased.*July 7, 1838. *Be it enacted, &c*.,That the proper accounting officers of the treasury be, and they are hereby, directed and required to pay to the childrenFive years’ half pay of a captain of in, fantry allowed to them. and heirs at law of John Chilton, deceased, who was a captain in the Virginia line on continental establishment, during the war of the Revolution, and who was slain in the battle at Brandywine, in September, seventeen hundred and seventy-seven, the aggregate amount of the half pay of a captain of infantry for seven years, to be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.
