CCXLV.— An Act *for the relief of Effie Van Ness.* August 29, 1842. *Be it enacted, &c*., That the Secretary of War be, and he is hereby, directed to place the name of Effie Van Ness, of New York, widow ofTo be placed on pension roll Garret Van Ness, deceased, on the rMI of revolutionary pensions of that state, and to allow her pension at .the rate of forty-five dollars and eighty-eight cents per annum, to be paid to her in the manner prescribed by the act of the fourth of'July, eighteen hundred and thirty-six, allowingAct of July 4, 1836, ch. 362. pensions to certain widows.
