Chap. CCVI.— An Act *for the relief of the children and heirs of Lieutenant-Colonel Henry Irwin, deceased.*July 7, 1838. *Be it enacted, &c*.,That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he isAllowed seven years’ half pay of a lieutenant-colonel. hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, to the surviving children of Henry Irwin, deceased, formerly lieutenant-colonel of the fifth North Carolina regiment on continental establishment, and who was mortally wounded at the battle of Germantown, and died in the service of the United States, and to the legal representatives of the deceased children of the said Henry 730 TWENTY-FIFTH CONGRESS.
