Chap. CCLXVIII.— An Act for the relief of the heirs of Thomas Davenport.July 14, 1832. *Be it enacted, &c.,* That the proper accounting officers of the treasury be, and they are hereby, required to settle and adjust the account Five years’ full pay as captain allowed, with interest. of the heirs of Thomas Davenport; and allow to them five years’ full pay for his services as a captain in the revolutionary war, with such interest thereon as the party would have been entitled to if a final settlement certificate had been issued for the amount of his commutation, and the same had been subscribed to the loan created by the act of one thousand seven hundred and ninety, providing for the funding of the debt of the United States; which five years’ full pay is the commutation of his half pay for life; to be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.
