CCCXXXVIII.— An Act *confirming the title of Joseph Sorin, alias Larochelle, and those claiming under him, to a tract of land in Missouri.* July 2, 1836. *Be it enacted, &c.*, That the title of Joseph Sorin, alias Larochelle, and those claiming under him, be, and the same is hereby, confirmedLand title confirmed. to a tract of land, two arpents in front by forty arpents in depth, situated in the second line of concessions or grants adjacent to the city of St. Louis, at a place called the “Cul de Sac,” bounded on the front by the west line of the forty arpents lots, and adjoining at its western boundary and depth to the “Royal Domain;” on the north adjoining to the land of Madame Camp: and on the south to that of M.
Yosti: *Provided,*Proviso. That this confirmation shall only operate as a relinquishment on the part of the United States to all claim in and to the said land; but shall not affect the right of any other person or persons, if such there be, having a just claim to the said land.
