CCCXVI.— An Act *for the relief of David McCord.* July 2, 1836. *Be it enacted, &c.*, That the proper accounting officers of the treasury be authorized and required to credit the accounts of David McCord,To be credited with money lost. late receiver of public money for the Cahaba land district, in the state of Alabama, with the sum of seven thousand three hundred dollars, which was lost by the burning of the steamboat Florida, while in the possession of Alexander Pope, who was taking it to Mobile, to be deposited in the Branch Bank of the United States, according to directions given him by the Secretary of the Treasury.
