Chap. C.— An Act for the relief of the legal representatives of Joseph Jeans, deceased. March 3, 1827. *Be it enacted, &c., * That the proper accounting officers of the treasuryPayment for horses impressed during the late war. department pay unto the legal representatives of Joseph Jeans, deceased, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of one hundred and seventy-five dollars, it being for two horses, taken by impressment into the public service, during the late war, and Proviso.lost while in said service: *Provided, however,* That whatever sum may have been paid to said Jeans, for the use of the said horses, shall be deducted from the sum above-mentioned.
