Snapp.Provisions of Employees’ Compensation Act extended to. the provisions and limitations of sections 15 to 20, both inclusive, of the Act entitled “An Act to provide compensation for employees of the United States suffering injuries while in the performance of their duties, and for other purposes”, approved September 7, 1916, as amended and as limited by the Act or February 15, 1934 (48 Stat.[39 Stat. 746, 747](/us/stat/39/746/747); [48 Stat. 351](/us/stat/48/351).[5 U. S. C. §§ 765, 770, 796](/us/usc/t5/s765/770/796). 351), the United States Employees’ Compensation Commission be, and the same is hereby, authorized and directed to receive and consider, when filed, the claim of Herbert M.
Snapp, of Desha Route, Batesville, Arkansas, for disability to his left eye alleged to have been incurred by him on April 3, 1937, while employed as a foreman at Sylamore Camp F–8, Ozark National Forest, Calico Rock, Arkansas: *Provided*, That claim hereunder shall be filed within six months after*Provisos*.Time for filing claim.No prior benefits. the approval of this Act: *Provided further*, That no benefits shall accrue prior to the enactment of this Act. That the Secretary of the Treasury is authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Ida May Lennon, of Bedford, Ohio, the sum of $179.08, in full satisfaction of her claims against the United States for compensation for damage done to a building owned by her in Saint Ignace, Michigan, by blasting of the Civil Works Administration during February and March 1934: *Proviso*.Limitation on attorney’s, etc., fees.*Provided*, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any Penalty for violation.contract to the contrary notwithstanding.
Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000. Approved, July 15, 1939.
