(/us/pvtl/76/131)]. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the SecretaryGrace S. Taylor.Payment to. of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Grace S. Taylor, Kensington, Maryland, the sum of $100. The payment of such sum shall be in full settlement of all claims against the United States on account of personal injuries sustained by the said Grace S.
Taylor when the automobile which she was driving was struck, on March 12, 1937, in Washington, District of Columbia, by an automobile owned by the Veterans’ Administration and operated by an employee of such department: *Provided*, That no part of the*Proviso*.Limitation on attorney’s, etc., fees. amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding.
Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall bePenalty for violation. deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000. S. C. § 999](/us/usc/t34/s999).the rank of captain: *Provided*, That no increase in active or retired pay or allowances shall result from the passage of this Act over and above that now authorized under the Act of June 6, 1924, to enlisted men on the retired list.
