Culver and others.Military records corrected. of the pension laws or any laws conferring rights, privileges, or benefits upon persons honorably discharged from the United States Army Otis M. Culver, Samuel E. Abbey, Joseph Reger, and August H. Krueger shall be held and considered to have been honorably discharged on December 10, 1898, as privates.
Company C, Third Battalion, Fourth Regiment Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry, United States Army: *Provided*, That no pension, back pay,*Proviso*.No back pay, etc. bounty, or other benefit shall be held to have accrued by reason of this Act prior to its passage. Nonnenberg, of Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, the sum of $2,500, in full settlement of all claims against the United States for personal and bodily injuries sustained by her on November 16, 1936, at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, when the automobile in which she was a passenger was struck by a Government Plymouth sedan, operated by a Government employee in connection with the Civilian Conservation Corps, while the said operator was in the performance53 Stat. 1484*Proviso*.Limitation on attorney’s, etc., fees.of his duty: *Provided*, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, Penalty for violation.any contract to the contrary notwithstanding.
Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000. Approved, July 25, 1939.
