(/us/pvtl/75/823)] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the SecretaryCharles P. McCarthy and Paul Revere Fire Insurance Company.Payments to. of the Treasury is hereby authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Charles P. McCarthy, of Gorham, Maine, the sum of $1,600, and to the Paul Revere Fire Insurance Company, of New York, New York, the sum of $913.44, in full settlement of all claims against the United States for damages to Charles P, McCarthy’s truck and trailer as the result of a collision December 31, 1937, with a Works Progress Administration truck, on College Avenue near Murray Hill Avenue, Atlanta, Georgia: *Provided,* That no part of the amount appropriated in this*Proviso*.Prohibition on payment to subrogee.
Act shall be paid to or received by any person or company as subrogee of the rights of said Charles P. McCarthy against the United States as the result of said accident, and no part of the amount appropriatedLimitation on attorney’s, etc., fees. in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any 52 Stat. 1440 Penalty for violation.contract to the contrary notwithstanding.

Todaro, of Shreveport, Louisiana, the sum of $5,000, in full satisfaction of his claim against the United States for permanent injury received when the wall of a building caved in on him during the progress of the Civil Works Administration project on the Louisiana State fair grounds in Shreveport on February 28, 1934:*Proviso*.Prohibition on payment to subrogee.Limitation on attorney’s, etc., fees. *Provided,* That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act shall be paid to or received by any person or company as subrogee of the rights of the said Victor H.
