Provisions of Employees’ Compensation Act extended to. 20, inclusive, of the Act entitled “An Act to provide compensation for employees of the United States suffering injuries while in the performance of their duties, and for other purposes”, approved September [39 Stat. 746](/us/stat/39/746). [5 U. S. C. §§765–770](/us/usc/t5/s765/770). 7, 1916, as amended, are hereby waived in favor of O.
W. Waddle, of Tishomingo, Mississippi, for injuries alleged to have resulted from a poisoning contracted while in the performance of his duties as a gage 52 Stat. 1296 *Provisos.* No prior benefits. Time for filing claim. reader for the Geological Survey during the year 1926: *Provided,* That no benefits shall accrue prior to the approval of this Act: *Provided further,* That claim hereunder shall be filed within six months from the approval of this Act. Payment to. of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated and in full settlement of all claims against the Government of the United States, to Clear Creek Mountain Springs, Incorporated, the sum of $200, covering all damages of every kind done to its property by the removal of certain buildings, injury to water and sewer lines, and injury to the grounds, drives, and walkways, including unpaid rent, all caused in the operation of a Civilian Conservation Corps camp under the control and direction of the United States Government: *Proviso.* Limitation on attorney’s, etc., fees. *Provided,* That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract Penalty for violation.to the contrary notwithstanding.
Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000. Approved, April 15, 1938.
