(/us/pvtl/75/442)] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the limitations John M. Fraley. Provisions of Employees’ Compensation Act extended to. of time in sections 15 to 20, both inclusive, of the Act entitled “An Act to provide compensation for employees of the United States suffering injuries while in the performance of their duties, and for [39 Stat. 746, 747](/us/stat/39/746/747).[5 U. S. C. §§ 765–770](/us/usc/t5/s765/770).other purposes”, approved September 7, 1916, as amended, are hereby waived in favor of John M.
Fraley, postmaster at Farmers, Rowan County, Kentucky, and the Employees’ Compensation Commission is hereby authorized and directed to receive and consider, when filed, his claim for disability from rupture alleged to have been incurred in line of duty on or about July 1, 1926, while serving as such postmaster: *Provided,* That claim hereunder shall be filed within six months from the approval of this Act: *Provided further,* That no benefits shall accrue prior to the approval of this Act.

Lasher. Payment to. of the Treasury is authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Cyrus M. Lasher, East Greenbush, County of Rensselaer, State of New York, the sum of $1,750 in full satisfaction of his claim against the United States on account of injuries received by him on the 5th day of January 1935 in the tunnel adjoining the post-office building at Albany, New York, when a metal door, operated by a postal employee, dropped on him: *Provided,* That no part of the amount appropriated in this *Proviso.* Limitation on attorney’s, etc., fees.
Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or agents, attorney or attorneys, on account of services rendered in connection with said claim. It shall be unlawful for any agent or agents, attorney or attorneys, to exact, collect, withhold, or receive any sum of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof on account of services rendered in connection with said claim, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding.
Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed Penalty for violation.guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000.
