(/us/pvt/75/58)] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the Comptroller Sterling Bronze Company. Settlement of claim authorized. General of the United States be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to settle the claim of the Sterling Bronze Company for $8,168 for material supplied and work performed in furnishing and installing electrical supplies and equipment in the New House Office Building under contract ACho-23.
Appropriations heretofore Funds available for payment.made for the construction of the New House Office Building are hereby made available for the payment of this claim in the said sum of $8,168: *Provided,* That no part of the amount appropriated *Proviso.* Limitation on attorney’s, etc., fees. in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful. any contract to the contrary notwithstanding.
Any person Penalty for violation.violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000. Payment to. of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Lucretia Norris the sum of $600, in full settlement of all claims against the United States for injuries sustained when she was struck by a vehicle operated by an employee of the Government and in the service of the Post Office Department, in Baltimore, Maryland, on *Proviso.* Limitation on attorney’s, etc., fees.
