(/us/bill/75/pvtl/357)] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Charlotte Sweeney and others.Payment to. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to the legal guardian of Charlotte Sweeney, a minor, of Baltimore, Maryland, the sum of $750; to the legal guardian of Howard Sweeney, a minor, of Baltimore, Maryland, the sum of $750; to William Hintz, of Baltimore, Maryland, the sum of $1,675; and to Martha Hintz, of 1083Baltimore, Maryland, the sum of $1,500; in all, $4,675, in full settlement of their claims against the United States for personal injuries and property damage sustained by them as a result of a collision between the car in which they were riding, belonging to William Hintz, and a Coast Guard truck, said collision occurring on July 16, 1936, at Curtis Bay, Maryland: *Provided*, That no part of the amount*Proviso*.Limitation on attorney’s, etc., fees. appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding.
AnyPenalty for violation. person violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000. R. 5112](/us/bill/75/hr/5112)][[Private, No. 358](/us/bill/75/pvtl/358)] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the SecretaryFrank Lee Borney.Payment to. of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of $500 to Frank Lee Borney, in full settlement of all claims for damages against the Government of the United States for injuries sustained by the said Frank Lee Borney by reason of the explosion of a dynamite cap negligently left by Civil Works Administration workers where they were building a road near Red Oak, Texas, on or about February 23, 1934: *Provided*, That no part of the amount*Proviso*.Limitation on attorney’s, etc., fees. appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or agents, attorney or attorneys, on account of services rendered in connection with said claim.
It shall be unlawful for any agent or agents, attorney or attorneys, to exact, collect, withhold, or receive any sum of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof on account of services rendered in connection with said claim, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. Any person violating thePenalty for violation. provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000.
