(/us/pvtl/75/27)] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * A. D. Hampton.Payment to. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury allocated by the President for the maintenance and operation of the Civilian Conservation Corps, to A. D. Hampton, of Russellville, Arkansas, the sum of $5,000, in full settlement of all claims against the United States for the death of his minor son, Adam D.
Hampton, Junior, when the car in which he was a passenger was struck by a Government vehicle operated in connection with the Civilian Conservation Corps, while said vehicle was on official business, on October 7, 1934, on United States Highway Numbered 64, near London, Arkansas: *Provided*, That no part of*Proviso.*Limitation on attorney’s, etc., fees. the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding.
Any person violating the provisions of this ActPenalty for violation. shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000. That the Secretary of the Treasury is authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury allocated by the President for the maintenance and operation of the Civilian Conservation Corps, to Harry King, of Monarch, Montana, the sum of $85 in full satisfaction of his claim against the United States arising from property damage sustained by him when his automobile was struck by a Government truck operated in connection with the Civilian Conservation Corps on United States Highway Numbered 89, near Neihart, Montana, on July 19, 1936: *Provided*, That no part of the amount appropriated*Proviso.*Limitation on attorney’s, etc., fees. in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services936 rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful,Penalty for violation. any contract to the contrary notwithstanding.
