(/us/bill/75/pvtl/259)] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Marion Shober Phillips.Payment to. That the Secretary of the Treasury is authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Marion Shober Phillips the sum of $2,500, the payment of such sum being in full satisfaction of all claims against the United States by reason of injuries sustained by the said Phillips on May 27, 1934, while assisting Government officers, under their orders, in seizing and *Proviso*.Limitation on attorney’s, etc., fees.destroying an illicit liquor distillery: *Provided*, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or agents, attorney or attorneys, on account of services rendered in connection with said claim.
It shall be unlawful for any agent or agents, attorney or attorneys, to exact, collect, withhold, or receive any sum of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof on account of services rendered in connection with Penalty for violation.said claim, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000.

Tarlton, of Saint Louis, Missouri, the sum of $22,007.34 in full settlement of his claim against the United States for increased cost of labor and material incurred in complying on and after August 10, 1933, with the President’s Reemployment Agreement and/or the applicable approved code in the performance of his contract with the War Department dated February 15, 1933, for the construction of a lock at lock and dam numbered 1, Barren River, Kentucky, and 1043other work connected therewith: *Provided*, That no part of the*Proviso*.Limitation on attorney’s, etc., fees. amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding.
