Provisions of Employees’ Compensation Act extended to. [39 Stat. 746](/us/stat/39/746). [5 U. S. C. §§767, 770](/us/usc/t5/s767/770). and limitations of sections 17 and 20 of the Act entitled “An Act to provide compensation for employees of the United States suffering injuries while in the performance of their duties, and for other purposes”, approved September 7, 1916, as amended, are hereby waived in the case of John W.
Bolin, of Salem, Oregon; and the United States Employees’ Compensation Commission is authorized and directed to consider and act upon any claim filed with the Commission, within one year after the date of the enactment of this Act, by said John W. Bolin for medical treatment under the provisions of said Act of September 7, 1916, as amended, for disability alleged 982to be due to injury received by him while employed as a mail carrier *Proviso.* No prior benefits. at Salem, Oregon, during August 1924: *Provided,* That no benefits shall accrue prior to the approval of this Act.
