(/us/pl/74/115).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That from and afterNavy and Marine Corps bands. Rank, etc., present leaders of. the date of approval of this Act the present leader of the United States Navy Band and the present leader of the band of the United States Marine Corps shall have the rank, pay, and allowances of a lieutenantPay and allowances. in the Navy and of a captain in the Marine Corps, respectively; and in the computation of their pay and allowances all service in the Navy 332and the Marine Corps of whatever nature rendered by said leaders shall be counted as if it were commissioned service; and the said leaders of the United States Navy Band and the band of the United Retirement.States Marine Corps shall, at such time as the President in his discretion may direct, be entitled to retirement as a lieutenant in the Navy and as a captain in the Marine Corps, in the same manner as other officers of the Navy and the Marine Corps of such rank and length of service, computed as stated above, would be entitled to retirement.

[[S. 2105](/us/bill/74/s/2105).] [[Public, No. 116](/us/pl/74/116).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Military Academy. Number of cadets increased. Vol. 40, p. 894; Vol. 44, p. 704. [U. S. C., p. 281](/us/usc/p281). That hereafter there shall be allowed at the United States Military Academy three cadets for each Senator, Representative, Delegate m Congress, and Resident Commissioner from Puerto Rico, one to be selected by the Governor of the Panama Canal Zone, from among the sons of civilians of the Panama Canal Zone and the Panama Railroad, resident on the zone, five for the District of Columbia, and one hundred and thirty-two from the United States at large, forty of whom shall be appointed on the recommendation of the academic Selections from “honor schools”.authorities of the “honor schools” as designated by the War Department, and three of whom shall be selected from persons recommended by the Vice President, in addition to the number now authorized to be appointed from the enlisted men of the Regular Army and National Guard, and the sons of deceased officers, soldiers, sailors, and marines.
