(/us/pl/74/114).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Shannon County, S. Dak. Funds for public-school construction, authorized. *Post*, p. 584. That there is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of $125,000 for the purpose of cooperating with the public-school board of Shannon County, South Dakota, for the construction and equipment of a consolidated public high-school building, at Pine Ridge, South Dakota: *Provided*,*Proviso*.
Attendance of Indian pupils. That said school shall be conducted for both white and Indian children without discrimination, and that practical training for vocations and home economics be provided, and that the cost ofTuition of white children. education of white children shall be defrayed by the State and local public-school authorities, in accordance with such agreement or agreements as may be made between the Secretary of the Interior and State or local officials, and any and all sums or money obtained by reason of such agreement or agreements shall be available for reexpenditure for support and maintenance of said school.

[[S. 1609](/us/bill/74/s/1609).] [[Public, No. 115](/us/pl/74/115).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That from and afterNavy and Marine Corps bands. Rank, etc., present leaders of. the date of approval of this Act the present leader of the United States Navy Band and the present leader of the band of the United States Marine Corps shall have the rank, pay, and allowances of a lieutenantPay and allowances. in the Navy and of a captain in the Marine Corps, respectively; and in the computation of their pay and allowances all service in the Navy 332and the Marine Corps of whatever nature rendered by said leaders shall be counted as if it were commissioned service; and the said leaders of the United States Navy Band and the band of the United Retirement.States Marine Corps shall, at such time as the President in his discretion may direct, be entitled to retirement as a lieutenant in the Navy and as a captain in the Marine Corps, in the same manner as other officers of the Navy and the Marine Corps of such rank and length of service, computed as stated above, would be entitled to retirement.
