(/us/pvtl/74/353).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the President Clarence F. Jobson. Summoned before Army retiring board to ascertain condition when discharged. of the United States is hereby authorized to summon Clarence F. Jobson, late captain of the Quartermaster Corps, Regular Army, before a retiring board to inquire whether, at the time of his discharge, December 26, 1922, he was incapacitated for active service, and whether such incapacity was a result of an incident of service, and if, as a result of such inquiry, it is found that he was so incapacitated, the President is authorized to nominate and appoint, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, the said Clarence F.
Jobson a captain of the Quartermaster Corps and place him immediately thereafter upon the retired list of the Army with the same privileges and retired pay as are now or may hereafter be provided by law or regulation for officers of the Regular Army: *Provided*, *Proviso*. No back pay, etc. That the said Clarence F. Jobson shall not be entitled to any back pay or allowances by the passage of this Act. Approved, August 29, 1935. For the relief of Charles Pine. Payment to. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Charles Pine the sum of $3,500, in full settlement of all claims against the United States for injuries sustained on or about December 24, 1929, by being struck by an automobile operated by an *Proviso*.
Limitation on attorney’s, etc., fees. employee of the United States Veterans’ Bureau: *Provided*, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or agents, attorney or attorneys, on account of services rendered in connection with said claim. It shall be unlawful for any agent or agents, attorney or attorneys, to exact, collect, withhold, or receive any sum of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof on account of services rendered in connection with Penalty for violation. said claim, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding.
Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000. Approved, August 29, 1935.
