(/us/pvt/74/171).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the Secretary George Raptis. Refund of immigration bond. of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to George Raptis the sum of $500, in full settlement of all claims 2116against the Government of the United States for the face value of Liberty bonds in the sum of $500 with interest deposited by him as security for a public charge and departure bond in the sum of $500, executed by him on account of Demetrios Maglaras, an alien, conditioned upon the alien leaving the United States on or before the 15th day of November 1931 and forfeited through breach of such condition, though he really departed as he should but he was not reported so by the inspector, and subsequently he returned to the United States as a son of Nicholas Maglaras, an American citizen: *Proviso.* Limitation on attorney’s, etc., fees. *Provided,* That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or agents, attorney or attorneys, on account of services rendered in connection with said claim.
It shall be unlawful for any agent or agents, attorney or attorneys, to exact, collect, withhold, or receive any sum of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof on account of services rendered in connection with said claim, any contract to the contrary Penalty for violation.notwithstanding. Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000.

Bramble. Adjustment of accounts of. General of the United States be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to adjust and settle the claim of Captain Walter S. Bramble, Quartermaster Corps, United States Army, in the sum of $1,174.19, on account of stoppage of pay as the result of the loss of public funds due to financial irregularities and frauds against the Government, in the handling of public funds by a civilian employee of the Quartermaster Corps at Camp Custer. Michigan, during the period from April 1924 to October 1927, for part of which Captain Bramble has been held responsible, and to certify the same to Congress for an appropriation.
