General of the United States is hereby authorized and directed to adjust and settle the claim of George H. Hansen, for $1,000 deposited with the former United States Commissioner Fisk as bail for Guillaume Peyran and which amount the said United States commissioner converted to his own use, and to allow said claim in an amount not exceeding $1,000.
There is hereby appropriated, out ofAppropriation. any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, $1,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, for the payment of such claim. General of the United States is hereby authorized and directed to adjust and settle the claim of the National Surety Company for refund of $500 on account of collections from the said National Surety Company as surety on a bond dated March 12, 1917, of Ovide Robin, former postmaster at Leonville, Louisiana, in excess of the principal amount of said bond, and to allow not to exceed $500 in full and final settlement of the claim.
