CHAP. 626.— An Act For the relief of Mary Elizabeth Council. June 26, 1930.[[S. 3642.](/us/bill/71/s/3642)][[Private, No. 129.](/us/pvtl/71/129)] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * Mary Elizabeth Council.Gratuity pay to, for death of son. That the Secretary of the Navy be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of the appropriation “Pay, Subsistence, and Transportation, Navy, 1929,” to Mary Elizabeth Council, dependent mother of the late Lieutenant Howard Folk Council, United States Navy, who was killed in a seaplane accident at Vineyard Haven, Massachusetts, July 31, 1926, an amount equal to six months’ pay at the rate said Howard Folk Council was entitled to receive at the date of his death: *Provided*, That it be shown to the satisfaction of the Secretary of*Proviso*.
Dependence to be established. the Navy that the said dependent mother was actually dependent1917 on said officer, and the determination of such fact by the Secretary of the Navy shall be final and conclusive on the accounting officers of the Government. Approved, June 26, 1930.
