CHAP. 573.— An Act Amending section 2 and repealing section 3 of the Act approved February 24, 1925 (Forty-third Statutes, page 964; chapter 301), entitled “An Act to authorize the appointment of commissioners by the Court of Claims and to prescribe their powers and compensation,” and for other purposes. June 23, 1930.[[H. R. 7822](/us/bill/71/hr/7822).][[Public, No. 413](/us/pl/71/413).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That section 2 of theCourt of Claims.Commissioners of.Vol. 43, p. 965; amended.Vol. 45, p. 882.[U.
S. C., p. 899; Supp. IV, p. 435](/us/usc/p899). Act entitled “An Act to authorize the appointment of commissioners by the Court of Claims and prescribe their powers and compensation,” approved February 24, 1925 (U. S. C., title 28, sec. 270), as amended by section 711 of the Revenue Act of 1928 (U. S. C., Sup. III, title 28, sec. 270), is amended to read as follows: " “Sec. 2. Each of the said commissioners shall devote all of hisSalaries of. time to the duties of his office and shall receive a salary of $7,500 per annum, payable monthly out of the Treasury.
The Chief justice, orVenue for taking evidence. any judge of the Court of Claims, may sit at any place within the United States to take evidence in any case instituted in said court. The Chief Justice, and any judge of the court, the commissioners andTraveling expenses. stenographers authorized by the court, shall also receive their necessary traveling expenses and their actual expenses incurred for subsistence while traveling on duty and away from Washington in an amount not to exceed $10 per day in the case of the Chief Justice or any judge of the court and the commissioners, and $7 a day in the case of stenographers.
The expenses of travel and subsistence herein authorized shall be paid upon order of the court.” " Sec. 2. That section 3 of the Act of February 24, 1925 (UnitedProvision terminating Commissioners in three years, repealed. States Code, title 28, section 271), and the provisions of the Act of January 11, 1928 (Forty-fifth Statutes, page 51; United States Code,Vol. 43, p. 965; Vol. 45, p. 51.[U. S. C., p. 899; Supp. IV, p. 435](/us/usc/p899), repealed.Vol. 45, p. 965. title 28, section 271a), be, and the same are hereby, repealed, but section 1, and section 2 as amended by this Act, of the Act of February 24, 1925 (Forty-third Statutes, page 964), shall remain in full force and effect.
