CHAP. 569.— Joint Resolution Authorizing the Postmaster General to accept the bid of the Mississippi Shipping Company to carry mail between United States gulf ports and the east coast of South America. June 21, 1930.[[S. J. Res. 190](/us/bill/71/sjres/190).][[Pub. Res., No. 93](/us/bill/71/pubres/93).] Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,Postal Service.Acceptance of bid of Mississippi Shipping Company authorized.Vol. 45, p, 694.
That the Postmaster General is hereby authorized at his discretion to accept said bid of the Mississippi Shipping Company for carrying the mails over said line, notwithstanding the provisions of section 407 of the Merchant Marine Act of 1928 in respect to the award of ocean mail contracts. Approved, June 21, 1930.
