CHAP. 562.— An Act To provide for the establishment of a branch home of a National Home for disabled Volunteer Soldiers in one of the Southern States. June 21, 1930.[[S. 174](/us/bill/71/s/174).][[Public, No. 405](/us/pl/71/405).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, National Home forDisabled VolunteerSoldiers.Acquisition of site in a southern State for branch home.*Post*, pp. 1016, 1075. That the Board of Managers of the National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers is authorized and directed to select a tract of land located in one of the Southern States or to acquire land by donation and without 793expense, as a site for a branch home of the National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers to be located in one of the Southern States.
The land selected or acquired shall be transferred to the Transfer of land, records, etc.jurisdiction of the Board of Managers of said home, together with all books, maps, records, and other documents necessary for use, administration, and control of such land. Sec. 2. The Board of Managers of the national home is authorized Construction.and directed to provide for the improvement of the land so selected or acquired and for the construction, equipment, operation, and maintenance thereon of suitable buildings for the use of a branch home.
Sec. 3. There is hereby authorized to be appropriated the sumSum authorized. of $2,000,000 to carry out the provisions of this Act. Approved, June 21, 1930.
