CHAP. 561.— An Act For the relief of John Maika. March 4, 1931.[[H. R. 531.](/us/bill/71/hr/531)][[Private, No. 476.](/us/pvtl/71/476)] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, John Maika.Payment to, for death of son. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay John Maika the sum of $3,000 in full settlement of all claims against the Government of the United States resulting from the death of his son, Michael Maika, who was struck and killed by an Army truck of the United States of America on the 3d day of Appropriation.
September, 1923, and the said sum of $3,000 is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to carry out the provisions of this Act. Sec. 2. Limitation on attorney’s, etc., fees That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or agents, attorney or attorneys, on account Excessive, unlawful. of services rendered in connection with said claim.
