CHAP. 53.— Joint Resolution Authorizing an appropriation to defray the expenses of participation by the Government of the United States in the Inter-American Congress of Rectors, Deans, and Educators in General to be held at Habana, Cuba, on February 20, 1930. Res., No. 44](/us/bill/71/pubres/44).] Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That for the purpose ofInter-American Congress of Rectors, etc.Sum authorized for expenses of delegates, etc. defraying the expenses of participation by the Government of the United States by means of delegates to be appointed by the President in the Inter-American Congress of Rectors, Deans, and Educators in General to be held at Habana, Cuba, on February 20, 1930, an appropriation in the sum of $5,000, or so much thereof as may be *Post*, p. 116. necessary, is hereby authorized, for travel expenses, subsistence, or per diem in lieu of subsistence (notwithstanding the provisions of any other Act), printing and binding, compensation of employees, rent, official cards, and such other expenses as the President shall deem proper.
