CHAP. 470.— An Act Providing that subscription charges for newspapers, magazines, and other periodicals, for official use may be paid for in advance. June 12, 1930.[[H. R. 976](/us/bill/71/hr/976).][[Public, No. 347](/us/pl/71/347).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Newspapers, etc.Subscriptions of, for public offices, may be paid in advance. That subscription charges for newspapers, magazines, and other periodicals for official use of any office under the Government of the United States or the municipal government of the District of Columbia may be paid in advance from appropriations available therefor, notwithstanding the provisions of section 3648 of the Revised Statutes (United States [R.
S., sec. 3648, p. 718](/us/rs/s3648/p718).[U. S. C., p. 1009](/us/usc/1009).Code, title 31, section 529). Approved, June 12, 1930.
