CHAP. 466.— An Act Granting six months’ pay to Frank J. Hale. June 11, 1930[[H. R. 2951](/us/bill/71/hr/2951)][[Private, No. 81](/us/prv/71/81)] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* Frank J. Hale.Gratuity pay to, for death of son. That the Secretary of the Navy be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay. out of the appropriation “Pay of the Navy, 1930,” to Frank J. Hale, dependent father of the late Francis Everett Hale, seaman (second class), United States Navy, who was killed in a launch of the United States ship West Virginia when it was rammed by a merchant vessel at San Pedro, California, July 3, 1928. an amount equal to six months’ pay at the rate said Francis Everett *Proviso*.Dependence to be established.Hale was entitled to receive at the date of his death: *Provided*, That the said Frank J.
Hale establish to the satisfaction of the Secretary of the Navy the fact that he was dependent upon his son, the late Francis Everett Hale. Approved, June 11, 1930.
