CHAP. 449.— An Act For the relief of the Marshall State Bank. June 10, 1930[[H. R. 3118](/us/bill/71/hr/3118)][[Private, No. 74](/us/prv/71/74)] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* Marshall, Ill., State Bank.Redemption of lost Liberty bond in favor of, authorized. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to redeem in favor of the Marshall State Bank, Marshall, Illinois, United States coupon note Numbered J–1067846 in the denomination of $500 of the Victory Liberty Loan 4f per centum convertible gold notes of 1922–23, matured May 20, 1923, with interest at the rate of 4f per centum per annum from December 15, 1919, to May 20, 1923, inclusive, without presentation of said note or the coupons representing interest thereon from December 15, 1919, to May 20, 1923, the note with the said coupons attached having been lost, stolen, or destroyed: *Provisos*.Condition.*Provided*, That the said note shall not have been previously presented and paid and that no payment shall be made hereunder for any coupons which shall have been previously presented and paid:
Indemnity bond.*And provided further*, That the said Marshall State Bank shall first file in the Treasury Department of the United States a bond in the penal sum of double the amount of the principal of the said note and the interest payable thereon when the note matured, in such form and with such surety or sureties as may be acceptable to the Secretary of the Treasury, to indemnify and save harmless the United States from any loss on acount of the lost, stolen, or destroyed note hereinbefore described, or the coupons belonging thereto.
