CHAP. 418.— An Act To amend the Act entitled “An Act making appropriations for the Department of Agriculture for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1929, and for other purposes,” approved May 16, 1928. June 9, 1930.[[H. R. 10037](/us/bill/71/hr/10037).][[Public, No. 321](/us/pl/71/321).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Flood relief, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Kentucky.Vol. 45, p. 670, amended. That the item “Flood relief, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Kentucky” in the Act making appropriations for the Department of Agriculture for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1929, approved May 16, 1928 (Forty-fifth Statutes at Large, page 570), be, and the same is hereby, amended by adding at the end thereof the following:
" Bridge, over Kentucky River, at Hazard, may be acquired by Kentucky.“*And provided further*, That the Secretary of Agriculture may cooperate with the State of Kentucky in acquiring the bridge built and now operated by the Citizens Bridge Company, of the city of Hazard, Kentucky, over the North Fork of Kentucky River from Main Street in said city to the Louisville and Nashville Railroad Secretary of Agriculture may pay one-half cost.right of way and depot, and out of the funds herein appropriated for the relief of said State he may pay one-half of the cost of acquiring said bridge, such payment in no event to exceed $31,000, and the other one-half of such cost shall be paid by the State of Free bridge.Kentucky.
After acquiring said bridge no tolls shall thereafter be charged.” " Approved, June 9, 1930.
