CHAP. 379.— An Act For the relief of Franz J. Jonitz, first lieutenant, Quartermaster Corps, United States Army. March 2, 1931.[[S. 988.](/us/bill/71/s/988)][Private, No. 397.]](/us/pvtl/71/397) *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Lieutenant Franz J. Jonitz, Army.Reimbursement, for stolen public funds authorized. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Franz J.
Jonitz, first lieutenant, Quartermaster Corps, 2129 United States Army, such amount as he may have refunded to the United States on account of the loss of public funds for which he was responsible amounting to $215.56 and which were stolen from the safe of the agent finance officer at Fort Meade, South Dakota, on or about March 31, 1928; and that both he and H. G. Salmon, major, Finance Department, United States Army, whose agent officer Lieutenant Jonitz, was relieved from further responsibility therefor.
