CHAP. 371.— An Act To provide for the study, investigation, and survey, for commemorative purposes, of the battle field of Saratoga, New York. June 2, 1930.[[H. R. 9334](/us/bill/71/hr/9334).][[Public, No. 295](/us/pl/71/295).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Saratoga, N. Y., battlefield.Study, etc., of, authorized.*Post*, p. 910. That the Secretary of War be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to have made a study, investigation, and survey of the battle field of Saratoga, in the State of New York, for the purpose of preparing and submitting to Congress a general plan and such detailed project as may be required for properly commemorating such battle field and other adjacent points of historical and military interest, in accordance with the classification set forth in House Report Numbered 1071, Sixty-ninth Congress, first session.
Sec. 2. Sum authorized for personnel and travel, etc., expenses. To enable the Secretary of War to carry out the provisions of this Act, including the payment of mileage of officers of the Army and actual expenses of civilian employees traveling on duty in connection with the study, investigation, and survey, there is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of $4,400 or so much thereof as may be necessary, to be expended for the purpose of this Act.
