CHAP. 350.— An Act To Authorize the Secretary of the Navy to lease the United States naval destroyer and submarine base, Squantum, Massachusetts. May 29, 1930.[[H. R. 6142](/us/bill/71/hr/6142).][[Public, No. 280](/us/pl/71/280).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the SecretarySquantum, Mass.Naval base at, may be leased. of the Navy be, and he is hereby, authorized to lease all or any part of the United States naval destroyer and submarine base, Squantum,Terms and conditions.
Massachusetts, for periods not exceeding twenty-five years, on such terms and conditions as he may deem most advantageous to the Government when in his judgment such property may not be needed for naval uses and the leasing of it may serve the public interests. Any such lease shall be granted only after competitive bidding andCompetitive bidding for.Revocable in national emergency. shall be revocable at the discretion of the Secretary of the Navy in case of national emergency declared by the President, and the lessee shall not be entitled to any damages that may result from such revocation.
