CHAP. 33.— Joint Resolution Making an additional appropriation for the support of the Federal Radio Commission during the fiscal year 1930 in accordance with the Act approved December 18, 1929. February 1, 1930.[[H. J. Res. 217](/us/bill/71/hjres/217).][[Pub. Res., No. 35](/us/bill/71/pubres/35).] Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the following sumsFederal Radio Commission.Appropriations for support, etc., 1930. are appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the fiscal year 1930 for salaries and expenses of the Federal Radio Commission as continued by the Act approved December 18, 1929, namely:
For an additional amount for the pay of five commissioners at thePay of commissioners.*Ante*, p. 50.*Post*, p. 236.All other expenses. rate of $10,000 each per annum, $5,000; For an additional amount for all other authorized expenses of the Federal Radio Commission in performing the duties imposed by the Radio Act of 1927, as amended, including personal services, newspapersVol. 45, pp. 373, 1559. and periodicals, law and reference books, special counsel fees, printing and binding, supplies and equipment which, when the aggregateMinor purchases; etc., without advertising.[R.

C., p. 1309](/us/usc/p1309). amount involved does not exceed $25, may be purchased without regard to section 3709 of the Revised Statutes (United States Code, title 41, section 5), contract stenographic reporting services without reference to such section, travel and other necessary expenses, $26,000; and in addition thereto $75,000 of the unexpended balance of theUnexpended balance available. appropriation “Salaries and Expenses, Federal Radio Commission, 1927–1929” is hereby reappropriated and made available for the purposesVol. 35, p. 579. of the appropriation “Salaries and Expenses, Federal Radio Commission, 1930,” all to be retroactive to the date of the approval of such Act of December 18, 1929.
