CHAP. 289.— An Act To authorize an appropriation of funds in the Treasury to the credit of the District of Columbia for the use of the District of Columbia Commission for the George Washington Bicentennial. February 24, 1931.[[S. 6041](/us/bill/71/s/6041).][[Public, No. 725](/us/pl/71/725).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, George Washington Bicentennial.Sum authorized for.*Ante*, p. 1363.*Post*, p. 1558.
That there is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of funds in the Treasury to the credit of the District of Columbia, the sum of $100,000, to be expended by the District of Columbia Commission for the George *Proviso.*Regulations to be prescribed.Washington Bicentennial: *Provided*, That the expenditure of the money by the District of Columbia Commission for the George Washington Bicentennial herein authorized shall be made under such regulations as may be prescribed by the Commissioners of the District of Columbia.
