CHAP. 228.— An Act To amend the Act entitled “An Act for the erection of a tablet or marker to be placed at some suitable point between Hartwell, Georgia, and Alfords Bridge in the county of Hart, State of Georgia, on the national highway between the States of Georgia and South Carolina, to commemorate the memory of Nancy Hart.” February 19, 1931.[[S. 5246](/us/bill/71/s/5246).][[Public, No. 686](/us/pl/71/686).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the Act Nancy Hart.Memorial tablet to.approved February 26, 1929 (Public, Numbered 811, Seventieth Vol. 45, p. 1308, amended.*Ante*, p. 461.Congress), entitled “An Act for the erection of a tablet or marker to be placed at some suitable point between Hartwell, Georgia, and Alfords Bridge in the county of Hart, State of Georgia, on the national highway between the States of Georgia and South Carolina, to commemorate the memory of Nancy Hart,” be, and the same is hereby, amended to read as follows:
" “That the Secretary of War is hereby authorized to furnish and Erection by Federal authorities substituted for Hartwell, Ga., Chapter, D. A. R.erect at some suitable point between Hartwell, Georgia, and Alfords Bridge, which crosses the Savannah River in the county of Hart, State of Georgia, on the national highway between the States of Georgia and South Carolina, a tablet or marker to commemorate the memory of Nancy Hart. “Sec. 2. There is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any Sum authorised.*Post*, p. 1609.money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of $1,650, or so much thereof as may be necessary, to carry out the provisions of this Act.
