CHAP. 183.— An Act To provide for the construction of a vessel for the Coast Guard for rescue and assistance work on Lake Michigan. April 18, 1930.[[H. R. 4899](/us/bill/71/hr/4899).][[Public, No. 141](/us/pl/71/141).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the SecretaryCoast Guard.Cutter authorized for Lake Michigan.*Post*, pp. 890, 1226. of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized to construct and equip one Coast Guard cutter, to be of appropriate design and construction suitable for service in assisting shipping on the waters of Lake Michigan: *Provided*, That the total cost of construction and*Proviso*.Limit of cost. of original equipment of said Coast Guard cutter shall not exceed the sum of $650,000.
