March 4, 1929.[[S. J. Res. 223](/us/bill/70/sjres/223).][[Pub. Res., No. 105](/us/bill/70/pubres/105).] *Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * bruited States Supreme Court Building Commission. That the Act entitled “An Act to provide for the submission to the Congress of preliminary plans and estimates of costs for the construction of a building for the Supreme Court of the United States,” approved December 21, *Ante*, p. 1067, amended.1928, is amended by adding at the end thereof the following new section:
" “Sec. 4. Congressional member, retiring from Congress, to continue to serve as such. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 1, any individual who on March 3, 1929, is a member of the commission by virtue of a committee chairmanship or ranking minority membership as above specified, shall, despite the expiration of his term of office as a Member of the Senate or House of Representatives, continue to serve as a member of the commission until the completion of the building.
Application in event of death or resignation.In the event of the death or resignation of any such member, the provisions of section 1 shall be applicable with respect to successors of such member.” " Approved, March 4, 1929.
