Gherardi, Navy. Fitness of, (or promotion as rear admiral, to be considered. Selection Hoard of the Navy, as provided by United States Code, title 34, section 292, in its consideration of the officers eligible for consideration for selection for promotion to the grade of rear admiral may base its recommendation in the case of Captain Walter R. Gherardi upon his comparative fitness for the shore duties of the grade of rear admiral: *Provided*, That in the event of his selection and subsequent*Proviso*.
Carried as additional number, etc. promotion he shall be carried as an additional number in grade. Approved, March 2, 1929.
