Compensation for loss of pay. That the Secretary of the Treasury is authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of $76 to Charles Silverman, supervising clerk, navy yard, New York, for the loss of ten days’ pay, due to his suspension by the Secretary of the Navy for said period of time (August 16–26, 1926), at the request of the United States Civil Service Commission, on account of an error made by him, in good faith, as to the date of his birth in a civil-service examination taken in September, 1898; and the Service record corrected.Secretary of the Navy is hereby authorized and directed to remove this order of suspension from the record of the said Charles Silverman.
