R. 9569](/us/bill/70/hr/9569).][[Public, No. 344](/us/pl/70/344).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the Secretary British Government.Payment directed to, as indemnity for death of Reginald Ethelbert Myrie.of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, directed to pay to the British Government, as an act of grace and without reference to the question of liability therefor, the sum of $1,000 as full indemnity for the 484death of Reginald Ethelbert Myrie, a British subject, alleged to have been killed in the Panama Canal Zone on February 5, 1921, by a United States Army truck driven by a private in the Motor Transport Corps, as set forth in the message of the President of Appropriation authorized.*Post,* p. 912.January 4, 1928, printed as Senate Document Numbered 32, Seventieth Congress, first session; and there is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, a sufficient sum to carry out the purpose of this Act.
