Res. 72](/us/bill/70/sjres/72).][[Public, No. 27](/us/bill/70/pubres/27).] *Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the Director District of Columbia.Memorial statue of Cardinal Gibbons may be erected on designated reservation.of Public Buildings and Public Parks of the National Capital be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to grant permission to the Knights of Columbus, through Martin H. Carmody, the Supreme Knight of the Knights of Columbus, or his successors in office, for the erection, as a gift to the people of the United States, on public grounds, known as Reservation 309-G, west of square 2675 which said 454reservation is bounded on the north by Park Road, on the east by Pine Street, and on the west by Sixteenth Street, and immediately in front of Sacred Heart Church in Washington, District of Columbia, a memorial statue of the late James Cardinal Gibbons: *Provided,* *Provisos.*Approval of design.Supervision of erection.That the design for the statue shall be approved by the Commission of Fine Arts:: *And provided further*, That such statue shall be erected under the supervision of the Director of Public Buildings No Government expense.and Public Parks of the National Capital and that the United States shall be put to no expense in or by the erection of said statue.
