February 9, 1929.[[S. 4957](/us/bill/70/s/4957).][[Public, No. 716](/us/pl/70/716).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the consentDan River.Danville and Western Railway Company may reconstruct, etc., bridge across, in Pittsylvania County, Va. of Congress is hereby granted to the Danville and Western Railway Company, a corporation of the State of Virginia, its successors and assigns, to reconstruct, maintain, and operate its existing railroad bridge and approaches thereto across the Dan River, at a point seven and eight-tenths miles west of Danville, in Pittsylvania County, in the State of Virginia, in accordance withConstruction.Vol. 34, p. 84. the provisions of an Act entitled “An Act to regulate the construction of bridges over navigable waters,” approved March 23, 1906.
Sec. 2. The right to sell, assign, transfer, and mortgage all theRight to sell, etc., conferred. rights, powers, and privileges conferred by this Act is hereby granted to the Danville and Western Railway Company, a corporation of the State of Virginia, its successors and assigns; and any corporation to which such rights, powers, and privileges may be sold, assigned, or transferred, or which shall acquire the same by mortgage foreclosure or otherwise, is hereby authorized to exercise the same as fully as though conferred herein directly upon such corporation.
Sec. 3. The right to alter, amend, or repeal this Act is herebyAmendment. expressly reserved. Approved, February 9, 1929.
