CHAP. 893.— An Act For the relief of Folkert Coleman, of Port Huron, Michigan, arid Carey D. Ferguson, collector of customs and special disbursing agent for the Treasury Department at Detroit, Michigan.July 3, 1926. [[H. R. 8331](/us/bill/69/hr/8331).] [[Private, No. 322](/us/pvtl/69/322).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Folkert Coleman.Payment to, for services. That the Secretary 1758of the Treasury is authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of $27.50 to Fol kept Coleman, who was employed by the custodian of the post-office building at Port Huron, Michigan, as temporary laborer in the custodian service of the Treasury Department, with compensation at the rate of $900 per annum, and whose appointment could not be approved by the said Secretary of the Treasury because of a decision of the Comptroller General of the United States prohibiting the employment and payment of compensation to persons Vol. 41, p. 617.beyond the age of retirement who had not been certified for retention under section 6 of the Act of May 22, 1920, “An Act for the retirement of employees in the classified civil service, and for other purposes.
” The amount named is to cover services rendered by Mr. Coleman in the position named from February 16 to 26, 1925. In the case of the death (either before or after the enactment of this Act) of Mr. Coleman, the amount stated shall be paid to his widow, or if no widow, then to his children, or if no children, then to his estate. Sec. 2. Carey D. Ferguson.Credit in accounts.That the Comptroller General of the United States is authorized and directed, notwithstanding the provisions of the Act of May 22,1920, to credit the account of Carey D.
Ferguson, collector of customs and special disbursing agent for the Treasury Department, at Detroit, Michigan, with the' amount of $37.50, paid to Folkert Coleman, named in section 1 hereof, for services rendered in the position of laborer during the period February 1 to 15, 1925.
