CHAP. 77.— An Act Granting the consent of Congress to the village of Decatur, in the State of Nebraska, to construct a bridge across the Missouri River between the States of Nebraska and Iowa.February 8, 1927.[[H. R. 12952](/us/bill/69/hr/12952).][[Public, No. 585](/us/pl/69/585).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Missouri River.Decatur, Nebr., may bridge. That the consent of Congress is hereby granted to the municipality of the village of Decatur, in the county of Burt, and State of Nebraska, a municipal corporation organizer! under the laws of the State of Nebraska, to construct, maintain, and operate a free highway bridge and approaches thereto across the Missouri River at a point suitable to the interests of navigation between a point at or near Decatur, Burt County, Nebraska, and a point opposite in the State of Iowa, in Construction.Vol. 34, p, 84.accordance with the provisions of an Act entitled “An Act to regulate the construction of bridges over navigable waters,” approved March 23, 1906, and subject to the conditions and limitations contained in this Act.
Sec. 2. Right to acquire real estate, etc., for location, etc. There is hereby conferred upon the said village of Decatur, its successors, and assigns, all such rights and powers to enter the lands and to acquire, condemn, occupy, possess, and use real estate 1061 and other property needed for the location, construction, operation, and maintenance of such bridge and its approaches as are possessed by railroad corporations for railroad purposes or by bridge Corporations for bridge purposes in the State in which such real estate or other property is located, upon making just compensation therefor, to be ascertained and paid according to the laws of such States, and the proceedings therefor shall be the same as in theCondemnation proceedings. condemnation and expropriation of property in such State.
Sec. 3. The right to alter, amend, or repeal this Act is herebyAmendment. expressly reserved. Approved, February 8, 1927.
