CHAP. 717.— An Act Granting the consent of Congress to Aurora, Elgin, and Fox River Electric Company, an Illinois corporation, to construct a bridge across Fox River in Dundee Township, Kane County, and State of Illinois. July 1, 1926.[[H. R. 12208](/us/bill/69/hr/12208).][[Public, No. 444](/us/69/pl/444).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Fox River.Aurora, Elgin, and Fox River Electric Company may bridge, in Dundee Township, Ill.
That the consent of Congress is hereby given to the Aurora, Elgin, and Fox River Electric Company, its successors and assigns, to construct, maintain, and operate a railroad bridge across Fox River in section 26 of township 42 north, range 8 east of the third principal meridian, being Dundee Township, Kane County, Illinois, which bridge is now in course of construction in accordance with plans that, in the opinion of the Secretary of War and the Chief of Engineers, provide suitable facilities for navigation.
If said bridge be completed in a manner satisfactory to the Secretary of War and the Chief of Engineers, it shall be a lawful structure, and shall be maintained and operated under and in accordance with the pertinentMaintenance, etc.Vol. 34, p. 84. provisions of the Act entitled “An Act to regulate the construction of bridges over navigable waters,” approved March 23, 1906. 780 Sec. 2. Right to sell, etc. conferred. The right to sell, assign, transfer, and mortgage all the rights, powers, and privileges conferred by this Act is hereby granted to the Aurora, Elgin, and Fox River Electric Company, its successors and assigns, and any corporation to which such rights, powers, and privileges may be sold, assigned, or transferred, or which shall acquire the same by mortgage foreclosure or otherwise is hereby authorized to exercise the same as fully as though conferred herein directly upon such corporation.
Sec. 3. Amendment. The right to alter, amend, or repeal this Act is hereby expressly reserved. Approved, July 1, 1926.
