CHAP. 707.— An Act To change the name of “The Trustees of Saint Joseph’s Male Orphan Asylum” and amend the Act incorporating the same.June 29, 1926.[[S. 3012](/us/bill/69/s/3012).][[Public, No. 439½](/us/69/pl/439½).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,District of Columbia.Saint Joseph’s Male Orphan Asylum.Vol. 10, p, 846, amended. That the Act of Congress incorporating “ The Trustees of Saint Joseph’s Male Orphan Asylum,” approved on the 6th day of February, in the year 1855, be, and it hereby is, amended as follows:
" “The name of said corporation shall be Saint Joseph’s HomeSaint Joseph’s Home and School, incorporated. and School. “Sec. 2. The purpose of said corporation shall be to care forPurpose. and educate orphan, indigent, and other male children under eighteen years of age under such rules and regulations as it may adopt. “Sec. 3. All property now vested in the trustees of Saint Joseph’sProperty of Orphan Asylum confirmed to. Male Orphan Asylum as incorporated as aforesaid is hereby vested in and confirmed to Saint Joseph’s Home and School as reincorporatedProperty holdings. by this Act.
Said corporation shall have power to acquire, hold, and convey such real estate as it may deem proper for its said purposes and to hold such personal property as it may use, or use the income from, for said purposes, and to take and hold real estate and personal property by grant, devise, or bequest: *Provided*,*Proviso*.Sale of real estate if riot used. That any real estate granted or devised to it and not used for its corporate purposes shall be sold and conveyed away within five years after the date of such devise.
“Sec. 4. William H. DeLacy, John J. Earley, B. Francis Saul,Corporators. James F. Shea, Henry W. Sohon, Cornelius F. Thomas, and Francis R. Weller are hereby constituted and confirmed as the said corporationPowers, etc. and as trustees to manage the said corporation. When a vacancy occurs in their number they may fill such vacancy, and they may increase or diminish their number from time to time as they may deem expedient. They shall elect a president, a secretary, and a treasurer from their number, adopt a corporate seal, and make all needful by-laws and rules and regulations for the institution to be conducted by said corporation.
“Sec. 5. Sections 3 and 4 of said Act of Congress approved onSections of former Act, etc., repealed.Vol. 10, p. 847, amended. the 6th day of February, 1855, and all parts of said Act inconsistent with this Act are hereby repealed. “Sec. 6. The right is reserved to alter, amend, or repeal this Act.Amendment. " Approved, June 29, 1926.
